How to configure Cisco IP Phone 7940/7960 to work with IMPROCOM INC
- Press “Settings” button on the phone.
- Press 3 to reach “Network Configuration”.
- Press 32 to reach “Alternate TFTP”. If it shows “NO” – press **# and then press “Yes”.
- Press 8 to reach “TFTP Server 1″. Press “Edit”. Enter IP address of TFTP server (please contact us to get the proper TFTP IP address). Press “Validate”. Press “Save”.
- The phone will reload itself.
How to configure Cisco IP Phone 7940/7960 with SIP load to work
- Press “Settings” button on the phone.
- Press 9 to unlock the configuration. Default password is “cisco”. Press “Accept”.
- Press 3 to reach “Network Configuration” (network setup).
- Press 32 to reach “Alternate TFTP”. If it shows “NO” – press “Yes”.
- Press 7 to reach “TFTP Server 1″. Press “Edit”. Enter IP address of TFTP server (please contact us to get the proper TFTP IP address). Press “Validate”. Press “Save”.
- The phone will reload itself.
How to configure Cisco IP Phone 7970 with SCCP load to work
- Press “Settings” button on the phone.
- Press 2 to reach “Network Configuration”.
- Press 24 to reach “Alternate TFTP”. If it shows “NO” – press **# and then press “Yes”.
- Press 8 to reach “TFTP Server 1″. Press “Edit”. Enter IP address of TFTP server (please contact us to get the proper TFTP IP address). Press “Validate”. Press “Save”.
- The phone will reload itself.
How to configure Cisco IP Phone 7912 with SCCP load to work
- Press “Settings” button on the phone.
- Press 3 to reach “Settings”.
- Press 3 to reach “Network Configuration”.
- Press 26 to reach “Alternate TFTP”. If it shows “NO” – press **#. Press “Number”. Enter the password: 1234. Press “Enter”. Press “Yes”.
- Press 8 to reach “TFTP Server 1″. Press “Edit”. Enter IP address of TFTP server (please contact us to get the proper TFTP IP address). Press “Validate”. Press “Save”.
- The phone will reload itself.
How to configure Polycom IP phone to work with IMPROCOM INC
- If you have VVX series phone: Press button “Menu”->Settings->Advanced->enter the password: 456->Admin Settings->Network Configuration->provisioning Server->DHCP Menu
- If you have IP SoundPoint series phone: Press button “Menu”->Settings->Advanced->enter the password: 456->Admin Settings->Network Configuration->DHCP Menu-> Boot Server: press “Edit” button and set the value to “Static” (use Right/Left keys to change the value).
- Press “Ok”.
- Press “Back”.
- Scroll down to the “Server Menu” (VVX users just proceed to the next step).
- Click “Select”. Set: Server Type: FTP Server Address: IP address provided by Improcom, Contact your sales representative for details.
- Set: Server User and Server Password to provided values. Contact your sales representative for details.
- Press “Back” 2 times. Select “Save Config”.
- The phone will be rebooted. An update of the configuration may take up to 15 minutes.
- “Menu”->Settings->Advanced->enter the password: 456->Admin Settings->Network Configuration->(Provisioning Server)->DHCP Menu-> Boot Server:Static
- “Menu”->Settings->Advanced->enter the password: 456->Admin Settings->Network Configuration->(Server Menu)->Server Type: FTP
- Make sure that “Server User” and “Server Password” are set to proper values. Contact support if you don’t know your user/password.
- “Menu”->Settings->Advanced->enter the password: 456->Admin Settings->Network Configuration->Server Menu->Server Address: IP_address_provided_by_Improcom.
- In some cases you will need to erase old configuration to get the phone working. If all steps above didn’t help – do next:
- “Menu”->Settings->Advanced->enter the password: 456->Admin Settings->Reset to Defaults->Format File system.
- After this step (wait approx. 5 min till completion) you will need to do initial setup – restart the phone and immediately after restart press “Setup” button. Enter the password (456) and set the values from the step 2 (do not look for the “Menu”. You will be put directly in the “Network Configuration”)
